At Waterstone you work as if you are a private therapist but with someone else dealing with the administrative work. Waterstone is unique in that medical providers and therapists work under the same roof yet in a comfortable, private practice setting. There is a real sense of team at Waterstone. Recently Waterstone expanded it's therapy division and is growing rapidly.

If you are a LMSW or LPC-A and working towards hours in the State of CT for full licensure, then this is the position for you!  For people with a LMSW or LPC-A, on site supervision is offered by a LCSW to help with your hours towards full licensure.

Waterstone has been serving Connecticut since 2015 with offices along coastal Connecticut. Currently, we are looking for a part-time therapist in the Groton and New Haven offices. Waterstone offers psychotherapy and MAT services. Therapist Job Responsibilities:
Establish positive, trusting rapport with clients.
Diagnose clients to ensure we provide appropriate level of care.
Collaborate with medical team for client’s enrolled in MAT services.
Lead and co-lead group therapy.
Create individualized treatment plans according to the client’s needs and circumstances.
Meet with clients regularly to provide counseling, treatment and create and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
Conduct ongoing assessments of client’s progress.
Collaborate with and educate family members as needed.
Engage with community agencies and/or outside specialists to make referrals when necessary.
Maintain client records and document client progress.
Experience with electronic charting preferred.
Follow all agency policies to maintain client confidentiality.

Therapist Qualifications/Skills: Licensed LCSW or LPC in the State of CT or currently LPC-A or LMSW and working towards full licensure.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Excellent communication and listening skills.
Strong computer skills.
Detail oriented.
Ability to communicate with compassion and empathy.
Strong ability to manage time and prioritize tasks.
Have a strong belief that people can and do recover to live their best life as they see it.

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements: Licensed in Connecticut and/or have license for LMSW or LPC-A and working towards your full license.
E&O malpractice coverage 1m/4m minimum
Current with all state licensing or license eligible requirements,
Clinical experience preferred.
Experience in treating substance use disorders and MAT experience (Suboxone, Vivitrol, Sublocade) preferred but not required.
